Incorrect cut

There must be something wrong with the pattern they use to cut the suits. For 50 years I've been buying suits and never had an issue with the shoulders. I tried 3 different suits and they fitted well except the shoulders. How can a 48R have 23.5 inch shoulders. After $39 in return postage, I decided that it was best to give up and ask for a refund. A shame because they were nice suits.
