"One father is more than a hundred schoolmasters."

— George Herbert

This Father's Day, Suits Outlets wants to take our hats off to all the dads out there! Father's Day isn't just about getting Dad a card or letting him barbecue all day long. It's so much more than just telling your dad you love him. It's about showing gratitude, strengthening connections, and building legacy.

Fathers are a major foundation in our lives. Whether it's your biological father, stepfather, adoptive dad, grandfather, or even your favorite uncle who showed up when no one else did. His influence molds us and helps us move through this world. Fathers shape character in ways that often go unspoken and usually unnoticed until years later. Father's Day is a chance to name what's usually left unsaid and honor anyone who filled that role.

Some people no longer have their father figures with them. Father's Day can also be a tribute to show exactly how much they still mean to you. It's a dedicated pause in the calendar that creates room for quality time and remembrance. This Father's Day, we want you to keep his traditions alive! Maybe do an activity he loved, or cook his favorite meal. Even telling some of his favorite stories will keep his memory alive and strong! The most important thing is that there's no right way to do it. Whatever keeps him close to you is more than enough.

Did You Know?

The first-ever unofficial Father's Celebration was in West Virginia in 1908. There was a horrific accident in the area that led to the death of hundreds of men. There was a group celebration for their life and remembrance as fathers. While this event wasn't the event that started the actual holiday, it's the first-ever recorded event for fathers. Father's Day did not become an observed holiday until President Nixon signed off on it in 1972!

What are your Father's Day plans? Still haven't decided the perfect gift for dad?  SuitsOutlets is always here to help! Check out our Father's Day Gift Guide here!
